Ondrej Mikes came to us from Granlo BK this season. Unfortunately he was injured when he arrived so the beginning of the season was tough for him. But now, during the last couple of games, he has shown what a great and solid team player he is. – I have to say i’m having a good time here in TTG. It wasn’t easy for me to come here as an injured player and be on the bench for a quite long time. But the team was very supportive and It helped me a lot to get back and it gave me new energy. It is also more fun now when I started to understand swedish quite well compared to last year, Ondrej says. AIK away is known as a very difficult game. But Ondrej & Company came up with a really good performance and the win was actually quite comfortable except from the last couple of minutes. – I think we came into the game with the clear goal to give 100% and continue from the good performances from the last two games – and we did it well. There is a great energy in the team right now and we just worked hard every shift and did what we wanted to do. We were in control of the game except from the last minutes when they scored a couple of goals in the powerplay (6 vs 5). That was a bit unneccessary but in the end it was a great win for us, Ondrej says. In the first period he had a really great chance to score but an unlucky bounce stopped him. But in the second period he scored his first SSL-goal for TTG with a nice wrist shot on a break through. And in the third period he scored his second goal of the game from a rebound. – I am really happy and reliefed that I scored those goals because it started to be a little depressive to wait for my first goal so long. I knew I was playing well the last couple of games and I just wanted to stay positive and dont think about it too much. Now I hope it will be easier for me to score some more, Ondrej says. In the weekend the team is travelling to Karlstad for a second time this season. The team has three wins in a row (Helsingborg, Dalen and AIK) and is looking to continue that streak against a team who is fighting for relegation. – It seems like we found some flow in our game. As I’ve said, we have a great energy in the team right now. We have also changed our defensive system a bit and i feel like it fits us better. Last three games we were really hungry and had fun. And we dont want to stop until the last game is played and we will see where it gets us, he claimed.
